Faculty of Languages and Culture

Biography

The Faculty of Languages and Culture is a unit under Thai Nguyen University of Sciences (TNUS) – Thai Nguyen University. Based on the institution's expansion and development in organizational structure, capabilities, and training demands, TNUS decided to establish the Faculty of Languages and Culture. This decision leveraged the university's high-quality human resources in languages (English, language-specialized ) and culture (ethnology, anthropology, cultural anthropology, Vietnamese studies).

The establishment of the Faculty of Languages and Culture contributes to consolidating human resources to address significant issues in language and culture during the current era of deepening integration and development. It facilitates future development directions, enabling the timely anticipation and fulfillment of workforce demands in the fields of language and culture.

Organizational structure and staff

The Faculty of Chemistry has 21 full-time staffs including 10 PhDs, 10 Masters, 01 PhD candidates, 01 Bachelor. 

The organizational structure is composed of 1 Dean, 2 Vice Deans.

Currently, the Faculty of Language and Culture offers two undergraduate programs with the following curricula:

  • English Language Major with three training programs:

    • Applied English
    • English-Chinese Bilingual
    • English-Korean Bilingual
  • Literature Major (Teaching-Oriented)

  • Language and Culture of Vietnam’s Ethnic Minorities 

Training programs

1. Bachelor programs

Bachelor of English Language

Full-time course, duration - 4 years; Majors including Applied English, English-Chinese Bilingual, English-Korean Bilingual.

Bachelor of Literature 

Full-time course, duration - 3.5 years; Major including teaching-oriented program. 

Bachelor of Language and Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Minorities 

Full-time course, duration - 3.5 years

2. Master programs

Vietnamese Literature

Course duration - 2 years; Diploma: Master of Vietnamese Literature.
