2002

 Faculty of Natural Sciences - Thai Nguyen University was established.
  • 53 staffs (with 6 Ph.D., 19 M.S.)
  • 5 Bachelor programs

2006

 The Faculty was renamed Faculty of Natural and Social Sciences - Thai Nguyen University.
  • 139 staffs (with 3 Associate Professors, 5 Ph.D., 39 M.S., 81 Bachelors)

  • 8 Bachelor programs

2008

 The Faculty was upgraded Thai Nguyen University of Sciences.
  • 205 staffs (with 3 Associate Professors, 11 Ph.D., 67 M.S.)

  • 12 Bachelor programs

2012

 Thai Nguyen University of Sciences celebrates 10 years of establishment.
  • 297 staffs (with 205 teaching staffs, 6 Associate Professors, 58 Ph.D., 138 M.S., and 63 Ph.D. candidates)

  • 13 Bachelors and 4 graduate programs

2017

 Thai Nguyen University of Sciences celebrates 15 years of establishment.
  • 336 staffs (with 1 Professor, 5 Associate Professors, 69 PhD., 194 M.S.)

  • 20 Bachelors, 7 M.S., and 3 Ph.D. programs

2018

 16 years of establishment with some changes:
 
  • Faculty of Tourism was established
  • Faculty of Environment & Earth Science was changed name into Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment
  • 320 staffs (with 1 Professor, 8 Associate Professors, 81 PhD., 173 M.S.)

  • 31 Bachelors, 7 M.S., and 3 Ph.D. programs

2020

Thai Nguyen University of Sciences celebrates 20 years of establishment. 
 
  • 1 Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
  • 1 Emulation Flag from the Ministry.
  • 4 Emulation Flags from Thai Nguyen Province.
  • 3 Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training.
  • 6 Certificates of Merit from the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province.
  • 1 Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Province.

TNUS has consistently achieved the titles of a clean and strong Party Committee, an Excellent Labor Collective, and an outstanding unit in the emulation bloc of Thai Nguyen University and the Ministry of Education and Training.
