The FOREST (Future ORiented chEmiStry) project belongs to the Capacity-Building Project in the Field of Higher Education, which is a project to develop a Master's program in the field of Chemistry with eight members.

On August 1 and 2, 2023, Vietnam National University of Forestry held a workshop between Vietnam universities and the Forest project coordinator. Participants include Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), Thai Nguyen University of Science (TNUS), HCMC University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Hue University of Science (HUSC) and Prof. Janerik Lundquist (Linköping University, Sweden), FOREST project coordinator.

The Forest project has been implemented since the beginning of 2021. However, due to Covid-19, the meetings were taken place online. This meeting is the first time the project coordinator Janerik Lundquist (LiU) has met face-to-face with Vietnamese project members in Vietnam.

On August 1, Prof. Janerik Lundquist sent greetings to the project members, introduced new members: HCMUTE, HUSC, briefly introduced the FOREST project, etc. Representatives of VNUF and TNUS updated the progress and results of each activity that each school has implemented within the framework of the FOREST project. On August 2, the meeting agreed on the following project contents. The nearest event will be the summer school program held at VUNF from August 28 to September 1, 2023.
