On August 30, 2019, Thai Nguyen University of Sciences received and held a meeting with 19 new Lao students under the 2019-2020 university year agreement.
Attending the meeting were: Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Dang, Ph.D. - Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Pham Thi Phuong Thai, Ph.D. - Vice Rector, leaders of Departments of Science and Technology & International Cooperation, Department of Student Affairs, Training Department, Planning - Finance Department, leaders of Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Journalism - Media and Literature, Faculty Law & Social Management, Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment, Faculty of Fundamental Science together with all Lao international students, Vietnamese students and new international students of the 2019-2023 university year.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Dang, Ph.D. expressed his delight when Lao international students chose Thai Nguyen University of Sciences as their study destination. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Dang, Ph.D. affirmed that the university always paid special attention to the training of international students. In recent years, the former Lao international students studying at the University have achieved good and excellent results, and especially some of them graduated before the deadline. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Dang, Ph.D. believed that the new Lao international students would quickly integrate into the new environment and wished the students always have good health and successfully complete the study plan.
Also at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Trinh Thanh Hai, Ph.D. - Head of Training Department, Phi Dinh Khuong Ph.D. - Head of Department of Student Affairs also disseminated to the new Lao international students the contents related to the training and daily life. In terms of learning, the University has increased the volume of teaching Vietnamese 1, 2, 3 in order to help new students to improve their Vietnamese abilities as well as to learn about Vietnamese culture and people. In terms of daily life, the University has arranged the accommodation conditions with the best equipment for the new Lao international students such as: Air conditioners, water heaters, cabinets, tables.... Besides, the University has assigned tasks to homeroom teachers, established Vietnamese voluntary student groups to assist new Lao international students in their studies and daily life.
On behalf of the new international students, Manichan KEOVONGSACK spoke and expressed his luck and honor to attend Thai Nguyen University of Sciences. The new international students also thanked the teachers and friends for their friendly and thoughtful welcome. On behalf of the new international students, the international students promised to abide by the University's regulations and try to study well to contribute to the development of the country, the development of cooperative and friendly relationship and solidarity with the country of Vietnam.
The meeting took place in an extremely warm and friendly atmosphere. A lot of sharing from the former Lao international students, from the teachers, and Vietnamese students helped the new Lao international students to be more confident in a new environment.
On the occasion of welcoming new students and the Independence Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to encourage and support the learning spirit of international students, the University gave gifts to all international students.
