19h30 on October 2, 2019, at the Thai Nguyen University Convention Center, representatives of Lao international students at the University of Sciences participated in the Vietnamese Eloquence Contest for Lao international students with the theme "Vietnam - My beloved country”.
The Vietnamese Eloquence Contest for Lao international students was organized by Thai Nguyen University. The representative of the Organizing Committee of the competition are the leaders represented for departments, agencies and branches of Thai Nguyen province, including: Mr. Phung Huy Thinh - Member of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnamese Eloquence Contest for Lao international students in 2019 at the national level - Jury member of the competition at Thai Nguyen University; Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai - Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province - - Jury member of the competition at Thai Nguyen University; Mr. Le Xuan Hoat - Head of Security - Internal Politics - Public Security Department of Thai Nguyen Province, together with numerous lecturers and students of Vietnam - Laos from the member universities of Thai Nguyen University.
The representatives of Lao international students at Thai Nguyen University of Sciences participated in this contest included 06 students from many training majors, of which the representative candidate taking part in the Eloquence Contest was Saysavay Vongkhamchan - a first-year student of Faculty of Journalism - Media and Literature.
With the nature of a literary enthusiast, although she had just been in Vietnam for nearly a year, Saysavay Vongkhamchan was quite fluent in Vietnamese and had the love and deep, subtle feelings about the beauty of the country, Vietnamese people, culture and customs. As a female student, Saysavay Vongkhamchan chose the subject of the eloquence contest on the national dress of Vietnam - Ao Dai. With intensive knowledge, deep and delicate feelings, inspiring and attractive narrative showing a thorough penetration of Vietnamese language, Saysavay Vongkhamchan drew the whole contest to her eloquence competition of astuteness and emotions. The speech contest of Saysavay Vongkhamchan received warm applause from the judges as well as the audience of the program.
At the end of the competition, thanks to her intensive knowledge and inspirational narrative, stage bravery, Saysavay Vongkhamchan was honored to win the third prize in the "2019 Vietnamese Eloquence Contest for Lao international students at Thai Nguyen University”. This award not only recognized the attempts and efforts of Saysavay Vongkhamchan but also showed her love for the country and people of Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Eloquence Contest for Lao international students studying in Thai Nguyen in 2019 was a meaningful activity organized with the purpose of promoting friendship between the two countries Vietnam and Laos. The contest not only contributed to improving the quality of training for Lao international students studying at Thai Nguyen University, but also a positively meaningful activity towards the 44th Anniversary of the National Day of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2019) and Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20, 2019.
