December 16, 2022, at the University of Sciences - Thai Nguyen University, within the framework of the international cooperation project on enhancing higher education capacity "Future-Oriented Chemistry (FOREST) - Chemistry future orientation" period 2021-2024, the Forest project team successfully organized the workshop on Climate change -mitigation and adaptation. It was the one of series of activities to disseminate knowledge about climate change for students and communities to improve their ability to respond with climate change in the community in the future.  

The workshop attracted participants from Thai Nguyen University Sciences and surroundings. Participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about solutions climate change mitigation and adaptation.  

The presentations at the workshop included:

   1.      Overview of climate change presented by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy;

   2.      Solutions to respond to climate change in Thai Nguyen province presented by Dr. Nguyen Thi Dong;

   3.      Application of biochar in minimizing greenhouse gas emissions presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vuong Truong Xuan;

   4.      Payment for environmental services in forests Protection of Nui Coc Lake, Thai Nguyen province presented by Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai.
